For an author, two of the main purposes for a blog are to interact with readers, and spread the word about your books. As anyone who's visited my blog knows, I don't post very often. I just don't have time. But I try to do it once every few weeks or so, with updates from my author friends interspersed (is that still a word?).
My questions are these: Do you like blogs? What do you or don't you like about them? Do you like this blog? If not, why not? If so, why? What would you like to see more of on this blog? You can post here with your comments, or email me via the web site.

To answer your questions, yes, I do like Blogs! You're one of my dozen or so bookmarked Blogs. I think it's neat when authors have Blogs that their fans can come to for the latest news and tidbits of info. I love Karen Kingsbury's Blog too!
Personally, I check on your Blog often, hoping that there will be news of a third Rock Star Chronicles book. I loved the first two, and I will be first in line to buy a third... will there be a third? Fourth? Fifth! The books are brilliant, beautifully written, and very interesting to read. We're so blessed that you are using your talents to glorify God... and that you're willing to share your gift with us! Your novels are a breath of fresh air!
I am a Christian wife and mother of three young children. My husband is not a Christian [yet]. I have been praying for him for years. He's a good man, learning to better himself as a husband and a father, but his biggest obstacle is that he worships himself, not God. I saw myself in Karen's character in the books... And I saw my husband in Everett. I'm praying for a way to help my husband see that there is so much more to life when we take the focus off ourselves, and worship God. It brings balance and peace to our lives, it brings hope, love, and so much more. Ever since I stumbled upon your books in the Christian book store, I have been praying that he will read them someday, that perhaps he will learn to see God in a whole new light. They are on his nightstand. Waiting for God's perfect timing.
Why your books? My husband yearns to be that 20-something-rock-star, music is his life. He lives, breathes and dreams music, from sun up, to sun down. It comes first in his life, and that makes it hard on the rest of his family. Don't get me wrong, he is a fantastic musician, God blessed him with a great deal of talent as a guitarist. If he was in Casting Crowns, I wouldn't be complaining, ha ha! However, he longs to be on stage, the center of attention, worshipped by his fans... and I long for him to put God on stage, center his attention on God, and worship Him -- then wait and see how it changes his life (and his music) for the better... I don't want him to give up on music, just to rearrange his priorities a little more, for his sake, for his family's sake... and for his salvation.
Your books encourage me not to give up. It's like you wrote them just for my situation.
